Say Hello to Ian
by Deborah Jamail of The Beautiful Room
It’s easy to create a gorgeous, romantic bedroom for girls using antique French curves and accents, soft pastels, and graceful lines. Nothing more girly than French!
But what about boys? There isn’t much out there that can define their interests and become pieces they will grow into. Most furniture marketed for boys usually lacks detail, is too juvenile or comes in pieces put together with a wrench and diagram. That’s why I created the Ian Collection, named after my nephew. The Ian Collection has dimension and originality, detail, and an eclectic historical as well as industrial feel -- think American adventurer, British explorer, Hogwarts, Tom Sawyer, and Indiana Jones. A gentleman’s room full of curiosities. In addition to furniture, I have added vintage accessories and original art that add color and interest. With the Ian Collection heirloom quality pieces are now available for “his room”. Add one or two pieces, and he will have the ultimate club house.
